Actually, I am not promoting it at current prices as I bought a lot cheaper. Just pointing out some gold stocks are beating gold itself many times over.
Your use of the averages is instructive to a point but will also close your mind to the outliers that produce great profits. This applies to all stock types - not just gold.
You may prefer other gold stocks and that is fine. If SPR had been on your list of gold stocks I would have said nothing. Its absence was the thing given it was doing so much better.
