Business conditions slowing: Judo Bank PMI
Tom Richardson
Data on business activity for June shows the sector is still expanding but slowing, according to the Judo Bank purchasing managers index (PMI).
The data level reached 50.6 which indicates the private sector of the economy is still growing, but at its slowest rate since January.
“Critical to the next move in business conditions will be the impact on spending in the economy from the various government cost-of-living relief measures and the income tax cuts, which commence on 1 July,” said Warren Hogan, the chief economist at Judo Bank.
