...Maybe they will, but that may not be the reason. I think the reason is that there is nothing exciting at this point to buy, the big cap stocks are overvalued, the small end of town has been rather savaged in the favourite haunts- lithium, gold (patchy).
....as we physically face a cold winter, winter also seems to have arrived for stocks. As market participants retreat in the face of increasing uncertainty over rates, politics, over the top US market and bloodbath in the lithium sector (where the majority of market participants continue to fancy trades).
....a winner at the casino never stays too long...the house wins in the end if he/she continues playing. Take the money and run and never lose it back. Consider oneself fortunate when you can still have gains to boot. Can't cry cost of living if we lose it in the market because of denial/defiance/greed etc.
