....have you seen a big plunge that is followed by a return to recovery (albeit a short one)?

....no, the first big plunge is usually a sign of bigger problems ahead (as I said A Dog of a Stock Will Show You More Fleas Over Time)

....wait, DMP is a good stock (but so was APX), picking bottoms can be dangerous because you never know how far it can go. In DMP's case, its price has returned to below Feb 2015 level- imagine anyone holding since then because investing must mean never ever selling.

...when we see the end of growth, we see the end for the stock price that results in a crash. DMP has crashed -44% since the start of 2024.
Domino’s see flat store growth in FY25

    Sarah Jones

Fast food restaurant Dominos said after its strategic review of the business that store growth is expected to be flat to slightly positive in FY25, stepping up to 3 to 4 per cent (net growth) in FY26.

It added in a statement after the close yesterday that gross store openings will be about 3 per cent of the network amid ongoing positive performance from Australia/New Zealand, Germany and Singapore, and improvement in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Dominos said both FY25 and FY26 store openings were below the 3-5 year outlook of more than 7 to 9 per cent new store openings.

“The timeline for returning to the medium term outlook for store growth will be determined by continuing improvements in franchise profitability – a key focus of Domino’s in all markets,” it said.
