Now as seniors/boomers know, your son/daughters don't watch TV like we do, consume news like we do, value things differently, socialise differently, accept or don't accept people differently.
We may not like things based on our own prejudices, but will you see things differently if your world is rocked when your love one becomes a queer? You may not but you will be torn and your world shred to pieces, you have to choose between accepting the path your love one has chosen against everything that you believe in or not believe in. I know a friend in that sort of position.
If you put yourself in that person's position, you will come to terms with your prejudices. Because your love one comes first.
You can judge until it happens to you.
