Look at how long the tech winter was after a period of extended exuberance that led to the dot.com crash.

We won’t know exactly when the crash will happen, except that we know we have reached an elevated point which may still extend a bit more, but we should know from history that that period of elevation almost always end with a protracted period of mean reversion. So good luck if you are super weighted in equities hoping that this time is different. And yes, we could by all means see a final Melt Up to 6k and a bit on the S&P500 that draw a final FOMO, but it won’t be extended indefinitely. This market has managed to blindside us by not crashing and burning to kill off all enthusiasm but declining in stealth and in unpredictable ways.

People see buying opportunity looking at the future with a rear mirror vision. The 2025-2030 period is not likely to be the same market environment as one we had been accustomed to - disorder and uncertainty would be the norm rather than the exception. Nimbleness, wariness and being calculated would be more important than faith based and apathetic investing approach seniors and boomers only know.
