Human nature, if you are heavily invested, you’d say these bears are wrong (despite history proven so) that this time is different, because you’re in the red or in denial, and rather shrug out risk management ; the coming final Melt up further emboldens you to get deeper into equities. Like in the movies, the ‘bad guy’ trying to make a go at the prized possession (eg gold) in the midst of a storm..of course they get flushed away. But you’re not the bad guy, you can navigate better if you don’t let greed get the better of you.
