The market trades on what it does not know YET. Fed pivot is all done and dusted short of Fed’s formality in Sept; but market hopes for a larger than 25bps may not come to pass if 50bps cut sounds as a sign of lack of confidence by the Fed on the economy.
so once this 2 year long cat and mouse game of when the Fed will finally pivot comes to an end, what further positive news can the market look forward to, and this could also mark the end of the bad news is good news expectations game.
