...and many people have to take multiple part time jobs to make ends meet.
...and this is even before so called AI productivity.
The number of underemployed Americans is skyrocketing:
People working part-time jobs while seeking full-time employment jumped 14.4% in August, to 4.8 million, the highest level since May 2021.
Since October 2022, this number has soared by 1.1 million people, or 32%.
Over the last 45 years, such a spike has always coincided with a recession.
This comes as full-time employment dropped by 1 million workers over the last year and has declined for 7 consecutive months.
The job market continues to deteriorate rapidly.
