..yes, he may want to save American jobs, but John Deere and many companies like John Deere would not be able to produce their goods as cost competitive. So either American farmers would have to pay more or John Deere being a public listed company would make less money. If cost of production is higher for farmers, we get food inflation.
..nationalist policy that helps to save American jobs will come at the expense of American competitiveness. You can't have it both ways.
