....so it shouldn't surprise us that it would be very easy for Elon&Vivek to cut 3 million jobs with one stroke except that the big question is if they can get it across easily through the prevailing labour laws and the Congress.
....but anyone can sense that this announcement alone would already have created great uncertainty across the entire US public service sector. So do you think many of these boomers would contemplate big spending and traveling like good times?
....my thoughts are with them honestly, even if they don't deserve to have the jobs they hold, because they may have been suckered to vote for Trump, completely blindsided they have shot themselves in the foot in the process.
....this DOGE (Dept of Govt Efficiency) I am sure is giving the LNP some idea because it is entirely opposite of what the ALP does. The LNP had enriched the consultants massively during their tenure, now they are suffering from a decline in services. The ALP hired more public servants- they should never make the same mistake by being ungrateful if they want to hold onto their jobs.
THIS IS CRAZY: There are 23.5 MILLION government employees in the US, the most on record. Government jobs have risen by 3 MILLION since 2020. This is the only sector that has seen notable job creation. Meanwhile, the private sector lost jobs for 9 straight months.
