....trust is gradually being lost, US pulled 30+k troops out of Germany to be re-deployed in Eastern Europe.
....the day of Europe 'cancelling' US is arriving....which is likely to cause US to heighten trade and tariff attacks on EU and perhaps exiting NATO altogether citing EU animosity as excuse for doing so. EU could just be providing US the 'excuse' to exit NATO, just like Trump used the Zelensky White House 'disrespect' to pull out military and intelligence aid from Ukraine.
....these developments, if they pan out, would be very negative for equity markets, in particular the US market.
There is increasing fear in Germany that F-35 jets purchased for the German army can be "turned off" remotely by Washington. This fear is shared by defense and security specialists. Joachim Schranzhofer, head of communications at Hensoldt:
"The F-35 kill switch is not just a rumor. A simpler way is through a mission planning system that will not allow the fighter to land." Wolfgang Ischinger, former diplomat and head of the Munich Security Conference:
