Tens of millions of Americans are about to lose their healthcare.
Congressional Republicans are working to cut nearly $1 trillion in healthcare to pay for tax cuts for the uber-wealthy…but they’re not coming right out to say that.
1. “Kick it to the states” Medicaid covers 70 million Americans. The federal government pays 70% of the cost-- states cover the rest. If you "kick it to the states," they can’t make up the difference.

2. “Work requirements.” Almost everyone on Medicaid works. If they can’t work, there’s a reason. Congressional Republicans know this.
Some states tried this. All it did was bury people in paperwork, ultimately stripping them of their coverage. These are people who are already working. They’re in school. They have a disability. They qualify for Medicaid. They still lose their healthcare.
3. “Only for the most vulnerable” Republicans say they want Medicaid just for people with “real disabilities.”
As opposed to… fake ones? Medicaid has expanded to cover 20 million more people—folks who need healthcare, can’t get it privately, and rely on it to stay healthy and alive.
...the LNP would have the same motivations as the GOP ; under the present GOP administration, the down and out will be buried to pave way for the wealthy to get wealthier.
...many of them have been Trump supporters but naively followed the cultish culture war that Trump won them over. Now they will pay dearly for their new masters who have deserted them in their worse time of their financial well being.
...thankfully Australia has voted for a moderate caring for everyone party that seeks to unify rather than divide. We are not following America.
...the 'Ginas' of this country don't need to get richer, an additional billion seems like chump change to an individual but could save many struggling lives if deployed appropriately.
