Here is how it goes:
Markets implode and asset values collapse. Buy and holders (mostly) stick it out through deflation. But coming out the other end, their assets relative to inflation are essentially worthless.
Most investors will not navigate the valley of deflation which implies owning "cash" (t-bills) now and then loading up on gold after the deleveraging phase. Buy and holders will find they have been robbed by the inevitable monetized deficit.
If you want to buy anything just wait - cars, homes, Bitcoins will soon be half price or much less.
