Seems like Trump effectively washing his hands of that war was a good thing
In the first place, he should not have 'promised' or boast he could end the war in a day or a week.
Second, he washed his hand off the war because he failed. Mediating two hard heads is difficult enough, let alone with a delusional diplomacy (or lack of) effort on the part of Trump 2.0.
Third, Trump is delusional, Putin is no friend of his.
Finally, for the world, both Russia and Ukraine can be bad actors, but it is only Russia that can make the whole world worried.
