Looking at the Gold chart below you can't help feeling that Gold have had so many opportunities to rally but at the moment US dollar reigns supreme and is likely to be into the next year. Would gold hit stratospheric level when the US dollar eventually crumbles or would the Harry Dent view prevail i.e all asset classes including gold would not be spared in the coming grizzly onslaught? This is often the ongoing debate between gold bugs and those including Warren Buffet who believe gold has limited to no use. My opinion is that gold exposure always hold a place in anyone's portfolio but it should not be treated like a cryptocurrency with expectations of large gains. And unless you hold gold bars, gold equities nor gold ETFs are not equivalent good proxies when we face crisis point.
