The US midterm is underway and as we speak Dow futures are in the green.
There is a silver lining to this- a Republican sweep is positive for the stock market but a Democrat House win is a win for democracy.
I choose the latter ! It is seemingly unlikely for Democrats to win the Senate, so a 1:1 result aligns with market expectations and probably a compromise outcome.
Trump is such a force (albeit very negative) that you just cannot discount him winning both which is what I expressed the other day but am hoping won't happen. Fanning far right wing tendencies which is resonating globally is toxic for the future of a civilised society. What is, after all, the unintended consequence(s) of 'winning' at all cost?
