I usually look at the sector the company does, their IP (uniqueness), their location (outside of Aust, best in US) , market cap, stage of their commercialisation/progress , technical chart and whether there is any negativity or controversy. And most importantly , the reason to buy the stock - e.g strategic minerals in US will play a dominant theme ahead, upside potential (can it still be a bagger?). And if it is under the radar, bingo!.
