The Biden administration would have to continue pursuing rhetorical tough stance on China out of political preservation (Trump legacy), while we do so out of political opportunism to borrow the playbook of Trump's shoring up of anti-China sentiment ...But a more isolated and alienated China is a more dangerous China, which is why I think they are tightening the screws on every Chinese companies listing in the US and ramping up national security concerns in a number of industries (tech, education) out of their own internal insecurities. The greater the provocation, the greater the insecurity and correspondingly the more drastic and desperate actions they will implement - beating the sh*t out of Chinese stocks that chose to list in US is both punishment for apparent looking to the West and in turn cast a shadow on the US market rally.
