...Lithium on the tear. Pilbara Minerals cargo fetches $US2350/dmt

Pilbara Minerals’ third digital auction held via its battery material exchange for 10,000 dry metric tonnes (dmt) of spodumene fetched $US2350 a tonne, beating its second auction price of $US2240 a tonne.
The latest cargo was presented for sale on the digital platform with a deferred delivery date in February 2022, and was announced to the market yesterday evening. On a pro rata basis, the bid equates to a price of around $US2,629/dmt, inclusive of freight costs.
Pilbara Minerals reported strong interest with parties placing 25 bids online during the 45 minute auction window.
