The recycling of copper and the effect on the price of newly mined copper is rarely considered. There would be more copper in circulation now in a myriad of appliances and applications. All that is available for reuse and, for arguments sake, if there was a major worldwide downturn that may be enough to satisfy demand rather than mining and refining new copper.
