Murdoch editors can't tell us the truth Rupert would sack them if they did, so the Australian and Sydney Telegraph paint Abbott as a saviour and paint Labor and the unions as demons.
But Fairfax papers and the ABC give both sides of politics a fair go. Liberals see that as a monstrous distortion as they don't control editorial content.
Gina Rinehart bought up Fairfax shares to control editors and journalists, but the Fairfax board would not abandon editorial independence. Gina spat the dummy and sold her shares.

But freedom of the press and youthful enthusiasm to seek and publish the truth can liberate us from government, military and corporate evasions, spin, red herrings and bare-faced lies.
