I believe Cougar's technology does use hydraulic fracturing aka fraccing to link the two wells together.

Fraccing is standard in the O&G industry worldwide including in Australia, it's done all the time and as long as it's done properly there are no issues with it. Don't be fooled by the recent media beat-up about it. There are no aquifers that Cougar could frac into anyway.
