There is only one principle incentive for a person to conceal the truth and that is because, it is in his or hers interests that the truth remain hidden and likewise; there is only one principle incentive for a person to lie and that is because it is in his or hers interests that the truth never be known. There exists no valid excuse much less justification for hiding the truth and for lying. In our society, such behavior is considered shameful, deceitful, untrustworthy, unethical and inappropriate.
