You are correct a dividend IS counter productive to the balance sheet, it is being repaired and oil price is moving north.
My point was that STO needs some positive spin on it to shake the dog status that it has been tagged with.
Few mum and dads read a balance sheet, but if they saw a return to divvys that may be a factor to buy, same with SMSF.
Do not be fooled into thinking the SP goes up or down due to the balance sheet or even common sense for that matter.
