As far as I know one of bot traders tactic is that they make continuously aimed companies' SP down in order to accumulate at lower price until reaching certain level of holding they satisfied.
Around this time chart is like poo or sheet and almost retail investors jettisoned the comapny as means of capitulation.
Then, as they achieved their goal accululating at lower price at the expenses of retail investors bloody losing money, they try to make SP up by bot trading again under name of AT as they did downward.
This means we are crossing the river almost always totally filled with sharks or crocs.
