Heres a hypothetical.
If Wilson and Rudd exercise all their options including the $2 & $3 they will own approximately 7.29% of a diluted GWR.
Now obviously these two blokes couldn't pull $7.5m and $5m respectively, out of their wallets, but I am sure that there is someone out there in the world that would be willing to oblige for a little of the action.
If Wally and the other people who have declared their hand do the same, then they will have at the very least 5% but possibly up to 10%
Now add that to FAS's holding and that equates to between 38-44%. This would mean that the turnout of people wanting to oust the 3 directors would have to be pretty substantial and would require some serious canvassing to make sure that they voted.
Then there is the dilemma which DOOM always seems to manage to raise as a plus for the doomsters, but is really a dirty great big thorn in the side of the doomsters which will hurt even more than FAS owning 25%. I'm talking about the people who like the idea of the takeover and can see it's merits but are still holding GWR. I wonder how many % would that be? Rather large volumes of late....ouch!!
and then there are the massive fish who are hiding under their reef ledges just waiting for the right moment to come out of their hole, because you know what, even the biggest Dhufish didn't get that big from just swimming out from under the safety of their reef hole and snap at just any baitfish that swims past. That baitfish has to be worth it and the Dhufish must be ready to feed.
and then their is the danger of that resource or resources that FAS doesn't have materialising. Here's something to ponder. Iron ore Juniors like AGO are using ex BLUE CHIP COMPANY tenements and are able to make a profitable company out of it for one reason. The price of iron ore is going through the roof. So now prospects that weren't economically viable are now in fashion and are company makers i.e Jack Hills, Weld, Wiluna. Now what other resource has seen almost a 100% increase in value in the last 2 years. FAS haven't declared they have it, but they have said they are going after it. Seems pretty left field to me, so they must be on to something.
They're also willing to put large amounts of cash into it.
Yep, they said that in the announcement but hey, some people seem to have forgotten that.
If you know people in the field of the resource I am referring to, ask them what all the junior players are doing to old areas that never used to be economically viable. You might make some money on it.
