A person - even a misguided person of leftist views and abusive manners to boot - is entitled to speak his mind in public ( and even on a plane ) without such a very heavy - handed response.

He may have been rightly spoken to by the purser and filmed with it or even detained by an air marshall but as for a gangster -style hands-up raid by 4 men armed with machine guns , that is quite inordinate.

This video makes the US look like the UUSR.

This incident is regrettable in every regard.

A man - even a rampantly self- righteous leftist - is surely permitted by law in the US and across the Western World to speak his mind in public without such overbearing ( and plainly state - sanctioned ) violence.
