So far no-one has died outside Mexico. If you get good treatment you will be over it in not very long generally. The really deadly monster is the new CA-MRSA, "community acquired" multi resistant staph. This is new, and if you dont get it very early it has an extreme mortality rate. The hell bug. It has come out of aboriginal communities in The Kimberleys, they think, who have had it for years. Admissions from it in big city hospitals all over Australia are doubling every month and you can get it anywhere. Like the flu, but attacks every organ in the body and can destroy the lungs completely in a matter of days. Extremely contagious. If one in a house get it all will. Forget about Swine Flu, dread CA MRstaph, its out there. It likes the young and healthy best. It throws off just about everything antibiotic like a duck repels water. The only way is to get it early with vacomycin and a few others. If not -asta la vista. Bye bye.
Big feature 4 pages about it in the Australian weekend magazine just recently. Dont shake hands, dont kiss, disinfect with ti tree. That stuff kills EVERYTHING.
