You're dead right there. To solve this problem, all the govt has to do is build/allow/fund whatever... about 2000MW of true base load power back into the system from coal or nuclear. Will never happen in this current climate, will need a few more price rises and blackouts first. The spot price of power will then plummet and there will be an excess of supply again. And true competition will come back to the electricity market.
