i've got worms

    G'day
    PC has been out of action for a while, found out it was a worm (reboot)that installed itself in my start up files.
    I think I have got rid of it but not sure. Any tips on this type of thing? I have updated avg and run test but it didn't detect anything (not sure if it would have?) and done a windows update.
