i've had a tough fy11

The financial year has finally ended, and what a relief. Overall, it has been a bad year for me and (despite working harder than ever on my portfolio)... I've lost (for me at least) a considerable amount of money. My all-time worst investment was HST. I watched and re-watched the CEO's presentation at a HongKong conference... and started buying at 1.31. Within days it fell and i kept buying. HUGE mistake!! Another disaster was NMS. I should have seen the collapse coming, but my blind allegiance to sector (sevicing offshore oil&gas rigs) meant i paid dearly.
I did have some some decent wins but the losses outweighed the gains. This past month i have bitten-the-bullet and re-structed with emphasis on gold and industrials with good macro and cashflow.
FY11 was a year i reckon most share-lovers found tough and i hope FY12 will be more gracious and allow me to regain my losses.
