It could be the indian figures are unreliable. I see estimates deaths are 10 times those reported. Lots of Indian sourced information as to what has happened over there, just need to google. Time consuming finding the information required to substantiate the role of ivermec.
There is currently research being undertaken that will clarify if ivermec has value in controlling covid, presumably it is thorough enough to satisfy the skeptics of previous research attempts.

Natural selection? I am probably still fertile but past the reproductive stage so my death is unlikely to have any natural selection benefit in the sense mashie implies. As most fatalities from covid are in the elderly and those with comorbidities even among the unvaccinated I can't imagine much effect on population growth.
