The delay is almost certainly a result of the current political situation in Israel which is where the funding is sourced. This political situation would have been very difficult to predict and has nothing to do with management capability or hoodwinking investors as you suggest. Yes, it is still a failure given they have not made the original time line guidance, but dragging down management due to political turmoil which they have no control is....not very mature.
Management are probably treading very carefully, and not pushing the agenda (with funding counterparts) to strongly because in all likelihood, we (FLC) got the contract and funding on the back of connections from Lauder....Instead of mouthing off about management hoodwinking investors, reflect on the situation. The Israeli PM is under scrutiny for alleged bribery, fraud and helping out personal connections. Google searches suggest Lauder helped make Netanyahu the PM through donations and political campaign assistance. Their relationship has not always been peachy with recent criticism of Netanyahu from Lauder, but if you were FLC management, would you really want to be twisting arms to get this funding secured for a company whose largest shareholder reportedly made Netanyahu PM? I think that could backfire very quickly and it would be prudent to tread carefully at this time. Likewise, management are unlikely to release an update outlining reasons for delay given the sensitivity of the situation. Let management do their job, be grateful we have powerful shareholders, and stop slinging shit on whim.
