??... I'm paying very close attention, and you make an interesting observation,, I think.
But it's possible I missed something.
On what time frame do you refer ? I can't see any double tops on the short/medium and long term charts? At best perhaps a yearly?
(charts from K**co/Trading View)
If you're talking classic Technical Analysis (which is a Double Top term) , the main time frames are Monthly , weekly and daily,, so I miss your point in that regard.
The only significant resistance points now would be very long term (yearly) and when looking at the volumes, and $50 peaks in 1980 and 2011.
Also remember breakouts often happen after double tops.. I could show you hundreds of charts with double and triple tops prior to a breakout.
But hell, even if it only reaches those $50 peaks from those (1980 and 2011) years, in the short to medium term I think most IVR holders would be happy with the perceived free cash flow. What, around US30/oz + for 50m oz, gives around US $1.5B over life of mine?? Perhaps my 'back of handkerchief' calc is wrong, but whichever way it goes, its way positive and highly speculative for a multi bag result, I would think.
There's always downside risk,, but probabilities are in our favour, from a fundamental and TA point of view.
Short , medium , and long term charts are bullish. Very long term shows some hurdles at $50. Fundamentals, from a supply/demand perspective are very bullish.
Ok , we have a couple of TA hurdles , but I think they will pale into insignificance at some point soon enough. As with all things, it may be a slow process, until it speeds up and goes nuts. Commodities are generally demonstrating that now. Anyone in this PM space for more than a few years is across that issue.
Monthly (aka long term)
Breakout (with good volume supporting the breakout and trend)
Weekly (Aka medium term)
Uptrend with some healthy pullbacks. (with good volume supporting the trend)
And Daily (Aka short term )
All good ,, with recent support at previous high around $29.40.
Yearly
See the recent volumes. This is just hotting up if you're referring to this as a double top.
It could easily be argued (and I would) that the peak $50 is the important point in classic TA (as I was taught, anyway)
