I would use Keith Neumeyer as a yardstick. He has said (albeit for a few years now) he expects POS in three figures and has also said that manufacturers are coming to him and paying over the official price and taking delivery and stock-piling and these do not see the light of day on the system.
OK so you can manipulate all you like but there will be a day of reckoning - there always is.
And, it appears that the demand for Ag in production just keeps increasing. Will the day come when most sales from mines might be 'off the record'? What happens to investment demand? Will Perth Mint continue to sell at official price? Doubt it.
