Rafi Faber reckons a CDBC won't work because of things like this....his position is people wont go along with it...its too insideous
I think you're right - they'll take the CDBC to dark places.
Examples off the top of me head - you posted something on Social media about the local school or politician - opps, sorry, your CDBC wallet has been de-activated...you need to go through a remediation process to resolve.....4 weeks later you're still waiting..... - I love the carbon footprint one ----> you drove you petrol car today beyond the 10km daily limit....your CDBC wallet gets automatically deducted with a penalty tax....oh, but you had to drive and care for your parents as they were sick....no one cares, the system doesn't care....pay your carbon footprint tax - Want to but an extra carton of eggs with your CDBC wallet ---> sorry, limit of 1 carton per family per week.
