An interesting interview with an academic (nutty professor?) obviously well versed with international monetary systems and experience in corporate and international banking.
It starts off a little weird with our Polish host and rambles for about 20 minutes with lots of discussions around the Imperialist/Colonialist US screwing the world (he’s openly and seriously Marxist by the way, if you hadn’t picked it up already- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Hudson_(economist)),
He starts getting more interesting after the 25 minute mark for folks interested in how the Brics++ group situation might affect the world and currencies etc in a macro view..
Then gets very interesting regarding value/price of Gold at about 34 minutes onwards, (no forecasts just referencing previous POG revaluations by governments) referring to US govt controlling/manipulating POG though dealers, and due to falling stores of ‘real’ gold left (why did it take Germany forever to get delivery of it’s gold from the US?) in it’s banks is due for a major revaluing (up) . (I’m paraphrasing of course)
He refers to some of these countries probably ‘reneging’ on their US debt or nationalising industry assets associated.
Somewhat imperialist conspiracy theories,, but it throws a fresh and interesting glimpse from a leftist view on one of our favourite topics - POPM’s !!!
I should also say that while he slams the US forbeing the meanest imperialist colonialist state,, makes no mention of the Stalinistera when millions of Russians died as a result of Socialist ideology,, not tomention some other socialist evils in the world.. How convenient..
Take from it what you will,, the nuts and bolts rePOPM’s probably between 34-50 minute marks.
Not sure whether it's a 'must watch',, but an interesting exercise of the grey matter... on PM's.
