That was a great find. It may partly explain why IVX are having trouble getting an acceptable deal on Nadolol. I think they have pretty good protection with an IND from the FDA and the protocol of starting with very small doses for oral application and the inhaled programme which will have good protection. However there may be a general bias against repurposed drugs because of the general difficulty of protecting the asset from unfair competition.
