Beside aquifers artesian intrusion been the reason for residual hydrocarbons in the Pebbly Arkose, there is lost of evidence that Hydrocarbons at MK-1 location, might have escaped due to geological fractures from many seismic events. Indeed if it was due to water intrusion, MK-1 would have shown the same data down below in the Lower Angwa, whereas if not for heavy mud pressure/overbalance, I recall stronger florescence and resistivity with gas kicks in MK-1 and ST. Log reading data convinced SM to Side Track MK-1, can't believe SM spending extra millions, just for the sake of creating smoke and mirrors.. Look at the geo of first 2000m al MK-1 location, is full of fractures and juxtaposing....whereas MK-2 look completely a different animal.
