Ok, so El Nino causes drought and La Nina causes flooding. I got that part wrong - but not the part about WHEN these things happen, which was my main point. I have never heard of flooding in October in Zimbabwe, which incidentally I happen to know pretty well. If cyclones are happening mid-October, it's news to me and to most Zimbabweans and to the meterologists who are predicting zero chance of rain.
Barry Meikle, on the bone dry ground right now with the earth shakers, needs to be warned that cyclones are imminent.
