Apparently, it's "baffling" why COVID19 hasn't cut a swathe through the 3rd world, where people live very communally, "properly enforced" lock-downs would mean starvation, and even vaguely-effective face masks don't exist.

Consider two facts:

1 - The average life expectancy in Zim is 60.8 years.

2- The average age of COVID19 linked deaths in developed countries is late 70s / v. early 80s.

Your average Zimbabwean will have been rotting in their grave for near twenty years, before he/she fits the profile of a typical "COVID19-linked fatality".

Long, long, long before they even become "at risk" to COVID19, a more compelling virus or health issue will have carried away your average developing nation citizen.

Yes, the world economy has been crippled by blanket "measures", but let's not loose sleep about a COVID19 meltdown in Zim.
