It been very disappointing that the threads have turned down this path over the last week or 2.
I don't usually comment on other posters, suffice to say that I am also putting a few on ignore here for the low content stuff like you have just responded to.
There have been some great posts by our invested geos on this thread and I have learnt so much over the last few weeks by also looking at SM interviews, the fireside chat and researching the process of drilling and sampling. Thanks to
@petere@VOGC@Kiwigeo8339 and the other technical posters who have taken their time to provide education to the not so educated in this space discussing and debating the pros and cons of Scott's plan for this well.
You could say that this investment is either make a bundle or lose half of your money, however there is a lot of science behind why the odds are in our favour towards a potential discovery here. It's not like they just pick a random spot and drill. I have confidence with the planning behind the drill and Scott's explanation for the step out of 6.8km. Scott is well aware what a big deal this program is based on current funding and the ability to move forward post completion.

Strengths
SLB now onboard for wirelines
MK1 produced results that hydrocarbons are there - Just not proven moveable
Multiple Zones of interest in this next well
Location updip to allow additional zones to be tested at lower depth
Company has learnt a lot from the MK1 experience and is applying those lessons to MK2
Well is funded
Weaknesses
Sovereign Risk - Political unrest (short term)
The ability to get spare parts quickly
If campaign is not successful, funding and farm in for future programs will be difficult to achieve in current market conditions
Lots can go wrong during a drilling and sampling program
Opportunities
Zimbabwe need these resources
The world will require gas and oil for decades to come even with the EV revolution
Farm in Partner / future funding easy to obtain to accelerate the program upon success
IVZ owns the rights over the Cabora Bassa Basin
Threats
In the event of success we are acquired way below fair value
China trying to get a piece of the action
Zimbabwe doing a U turn on their profit share deal down the track
I have 1.8mil reasons for this to be a successful drill, but won't either cry or brag based on the outcome in November / December
I put my trust in Scott's leadership, the onsite team and the planning behind the program to get the job done here
Yes its high risk but also potential high returns (as it should be in the event of success based on the risk profile)
I call it an educated gamble !
