Nobody’s going to touch us while there’s a big question mark regarding reservoir quality. Either Scott provides some positive commentary based on poro/perm results from MK-2 or we have to wait for the flow test results. No comment from Scott tells the market, farmin partners and predators that it’s poor quality and that’s how the market is valuing us.
I’ve always worried about this because in a few conversations that I had with Scott after drilling MK-1 I asked him why he wasn’t reporting net pay figures. He spoke about needing more info to ensure he could differentiate between decent quality reservoir and in his words “thin ratty sands”. That last phrase always stuck in my head because he used it on a number of occasions when we spoke about net pay for MK-1.
If all our samples at MK-2 were taken using the Saturn probe then we really have no info to know what we’ve got here in terms of reservoir quality and how this will translate to flow test results. And the silence from Scott on this subject is bloody annoying. Especially if there is something positive he can disclose.
