.."..Remember when he was asked why he didn't crack a chamber on site for the photo opportunity, he was aghast, whytf would we do that. What a waste of a chamber. When asked how long the results would take he replied dismissively with they'll be boarding a boat soon and we'll get them back months after thatIn regards to porosity and permeability. We have no clue ... you could be right or wrong. One thing stuck with me was a webinar where Matt asked Scott about the early ordering of the 2000m worth of expensive liner and on flow testing (not his exact words) and Scott replied "it will flow" (exact words). Many will remember the confidence in the delivery of that response. Unless something has changed or Scott is a self serving scoundrel, I expect this to be the result come Q2/Q3...."

in this case I think I understand SM's way of thinking. When you are on the well site, you finally got these samples after a so long time and spending so much money and especially you are not 100% sure you will get a liquid sample (because of temperature and pressure regime downhole a sample can be liquid there, but at surface with much lower pressure it is "just" gas. I would not like to risk to have a gas sample at the end of the day presenting the media (natural gas is color less). So indeed it is better to crack the samples in a more controlled environment = lab. And when we see the published Fotos from the liquid samples: we got only 2 samples and they are small. So there is a risk that you can lose such delicate, tiny pressure sensitive hydrocarbon samples during cracking at well site. Better to do in lab.

"it will flow": I think as well it will flow. Even when you perforate an ultra tight virgin sandstone reservoir there usually is enough gas flow for a flare, at least from the wellbore storage. I really hope that the around 35 m concidered for perforation deliver enough flowrate and are not just a tiny fart of a dinosaur. And I hope deepening the well into the overpressured formations will make a difference. Fingers crossed.

somebody mentioned that the oilpatch is a small community - I agree.
