    It refers to the amount of condensate (which is liquid-as per the green fingernail lady) mixed with the gas. M2 is uphill from M1. It makes sense that the liquids pool downhill. That is also why the pearls on the basin margin (as I understand, also downhill) are expected to have light oil more so than gas.
