Agree that it doesn't affect current exploration or production agreements. The issue is that the current agreement is very old and will definitely change whether now or in the future but will definitely change. For a potential funding partner, they can't do a proper feasibility analysis or due diligence of their own profitability without knowing what the govts share will be in the long term. They all definitely know the current agreement will not last as it's too generous to the company / unfair for the country. So they can't assume the current agreements terms in their own profitability assessment and therefore rightfully won't commit.
