If a party wanted control of an asset and it had people in the right place to be obstructive and this continued long enough, the share price of any company particularly in the circumstances IVZ is trying to negotiate, would be adversely affected, eventually providing opportunity for its acquisition at a fraction of the price the asset is worth.
