I think its fair to say that everyone expected the sp to go UP not DOWN on a discovery announcement......the fact that a side track was required killed the budget BUT what would have happened had they not announced a discovery?
Would we currently be better off?
I seriously doubt it as it would cast the shadow of is there oil and gas not how much there is.
I have no idea what the deal with EXALO is so I can't comment on what costs were attributed to that.

Fact is despite the Lower A overpressure screwing up the rest of the well its a better problem to have gas trying to escape than not.

Its very hard for me to reconcile the fact that we have independent estimates from Wood Mac, who definitely aren't numpties, putting us at 1.3 TCF from 2 wells neither of which is in the sweet spot and our current sp.

IF you put all that to one side the Eastern lease prospective number should be worth our current sp on its own.

Have you seen another oil and gas co whose sp dropped on a discovery?
