Let’s face facts here.
Zimbabwe is just in the first steps of trying to undo itself from the Mugabe despot.
It’s not at all surprising that there will be a massive hang over from that period.
Anyone who is invested here should understand that Africa is still the wild west to some degree and the idea that in the space of a few years suddenly Zim would become a model citizen is just idiotic.
I personally see these sanctions as a massive positive because they target those who have to lift their game……it’s easy to have sanctions against the country when they don’t effect you personally it’s a different story when they start hitting your own back pocket.
Targeted sanctions are far far more likely to have a positive outcome than sanctioning Zimbabwe.
